Greg Anderson of Newman Grove has been re-elected chairman of QUALISOY.
QUALISOY is a soybean industry program, run by a board, that develops and markets soybean varieties with enhanced traits to add value to U.S. soybeans and food products.
"Higher-value, specialized varieties will help assure the global competitiveness of U.S. soybeans," says Anderson, a fifth-generation soybean farmer.
At the Feb. 1 meeting, the board also announced its 2008 executive committee. Anderson is chairman and Victor Bohuslavsky, executive director of the Nebraska Soybean Board, is secretary/treasurer.
Overall, a 22-member board sets QUALISOY research priorities, evaluates existing and emerging technologies and sets quality standards for traits, products and processes.
