Free concerts are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Here's a summary of the performances:
Aug. 24, the Charlie Daniels Band, 7:30 p.m., Charlie Daniels is described as partly Western and partly Southern. His signature "bullrider" hat and belt buckle, his lifestyle on the Twin Pines Ranch, his love of horses, cowboy lore and the heroes of championship rodeo. . .even with all of this ingrained into his soul, Charlie Daniels has always been about the music. Some of his hits include, "The Devil Went Down To Georgia," "Long Haired Country Boy," and "The South's Gonna Do It Again."
Aug. 25, 2012, 7:30 p.m., Marty Stuart. Marty Stuart started out singing gospel as a child, worked with bluegrass legend Lester Flatt in the 70s, with Johnny Cash in the 80s and used all of these early influences in his release of hits like "Hillbilly Rock," Tempted" and "You're a Wild One" in the 90s. Marty Stuart is a four-time Grammy winner, platinum recording artist and Grand Ole Opry star.
Aug. 29, 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., Larry Gatlin & the Gatlin Brothers.
Larry Gatlin's bell-like tones and soul-stirring vibrato are works of art in themselves, quite apart from the lyrics they illuminate. Gatlin is equally distinguished as a songwriter. Of the 42 songs he charted between 1973 and 1990, including 17 Top 10s and the Grammy-winning "Broken Lady," he single-handedly wrote every one, an achievement unmatched by any other artist in popular music. His smash "All The Gold In California" stands as a country crossover classic.
Aug. 30, 7:30 p.m. MercyMe. MercyMe has released a total of 17 albums since its formation in 1994—four of which have been certified gold." MercyMe's unbroken streak of gold and platinum efforts, which began in 2001 with the No. 1 single "I Can Only Imagine," has led the band to a place of greater artistic freedom. The group has won a total of eight Dove Awards and has a number of Grammy nominations. Their Dove awards were for such hits as "I Can Only Imagine," "Word of God Speak" as well as Artists of the Year, and Group of the Year honors.
