Not All Renewable Energy Projects Have to be Large

Beatrice meeting April 26 covers small-scale energy production.

Anyone interested in small-scale renewable energy projects is invited to attend a one-day small-scale energy conference April 26 in Beatrice. It will be held at the Holiday Inn Express from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Technologies to be covered are wind, solar, methane, geothermal, bio-energy and flex-fuel infrastructure.

Speakers will explain the steps necessary to turn ideas into projects, including resource assessment, permitting and certification and financing. Co-sponsors are the USDA Rural Development and University of Nebraska Lincoln Extension.
