Video Contest Promotes Ethanol Education

Growth Energy joins New Holland in hosting contest for FFA members

As part of continued efforts to increase education on ethanol, New Holland and Growth Energy announced their first "Ethanol Video Contest" for FFA members. The contest is seeking the best student-produced video on the importance and value of American ethanol. The winning video will receive $5,000 for its FFA chapter.

Growth Energy President Jim Nussle said FFA has played a large role in building agricultural leaders and sparking an interest in innovation.

"As leaders of the American ethanol industry, we need to keep building that momentum, Nussle said. "FFA, and students across the nation, embraces the importance of biofuels like ethanol. With their help, our industry will continue to move forward."

The "Ethanol Video Contest" is limited to FFA members ages 14-23. Video entries must be between 60-90 seconds long, and completed videos must be posted onto YouTube. All completed application materials, including a YouTube link featuring the video entry, must be received by New Holland by Dec. 17, 2012 to be considered for the contest.
